About Nat Prance

Nat Prance was born Nathaniel LeBlanc on December 24th, in Ottawa, Ontario. He developed an obsession with story-telling at a young age, and began writing and illustrating comics until someone told him he wasn’t very good at it, so he quit. He’s played guitar for a while and dreamed of being a psychiatrist, but he gave up on that dream because it was difficult. He doesn’t like dogs that much, but he would still probably take in a puppy if he found it on the side of the road. He just likes cats better.

His report card in Grade 1 said “Nathaniel will do anything to get a laugh, including pulling his pants down in the middle of the hall.” He took this advice to heart and began pulling down his metaphorical pants with brutally candid writing regarding the emotions and actions that he was most ashamed of.

In 2014, Nat tried to kill himself, but he fucked it up and lived. Now he writes stories about cyborg women, the sympathetic undead of Romania, and characters that try to kill themselves, but fuck up and live.

His non-fiction work has been mentioned by writers on The Huffington Post and NPR, which he talks about a lot, but honestly, it was more of a passing mention than anything. His horror fiction work has been featured on the NoSleep podcast during the month of October, which is the month where people sleep the least. His blog has gone from being a satirical advice column to being an outlet for his depression to being a deposit for short stories to being where he posts rough drafts of all the projects he’s currently working on and will never, ever finish. None of his friends read his blog.
